The Sandalo Caprese

The tradition of the Capri Sandal is probably two millennia old. Since the Roman times, when Emperor Augustus lived on the island, in 29 b.c., women had a passion for leather footwear and they used to tie them with goatskin straps. And today we still use the very same material they did: the best hand-sewn Tuscan leather and little straps of goatskin.

The Roman tradition has practically remained unchanged until the ‘50s, when the will to satisfy the vanity of the women, famous and not who were coming on the island, brought some changes. The Sandalo Caprese, in fact, was finally enriched with rhinestones, corals, crystals and semi-precious stones.
And this is exactly our spirit and what moves our creative spirit: the tradition enriched with innovations, in order to create an even nicer and better product: the “Jewel Sandal”.
